How to clean SuperTips

Cleaning SuperTips Gel

SuperTips Gels are easy to clean. Remember to dry them completely before placing them back on the headphones.

  • Remove SuperTips Gel from your headphones.
  • Use warm water and mild soap on a damp cloth to remove dirt and earwax from SuperTips. Do NOT use harsh cleaning agents or alcohol.
  • Rinse and completely dry SuperTips Gel before placing them back on your headphones.
  • Reinstall SuperTips Gel on your headphones, making sure they are on the eartube completely.

Cleaning SuperTips Foam

Because foam is an absorbent material, extra care should be used cleaning them to avoid water soaking into the tip. You should not clean them in the same manner as SuperTips Gel. Do NOT use cleaning agents and do not submerge SuperTips Foam.

  • Remove SuperTips Foam from your headphones.
  • Using a cloth or paper towel dampened with water only, wipe the exterior, removing any earwax build-up.
  • To clean inside of the sound tube portion, insert a rolled up piece of cloth or paper towel into the tube and remove build up.
  • Let SuperTips Foam completely dry before placing them back on your headphones.
  • Reinstall SuperTips Gel on your headphones, making sure they are on the eartube completely.

How to choose a SuperTip that's right for you.

We strongly recommend you buy a SuperTips Sampler Pack. It comes with both Gel and Foam SuperTips in every size. You can try them all out to figure which works best for you.

Performance and Safety Tips

Listen responsibly.

To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume on your music player is down before connecting your headphones. After placing headphones in your ears, gradually turn up the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB). Exposure to any noise at or above 85 dB can cause gradual hearing loss. Our headphones will allow you to hear more details at lower volume levels than ever before.

Monitor your use; hearing loss is a function of loudness versus time. The louder it is, the less time you can be exposed to it. The softer it is, the more time you can listen to it.

Use Responsibly

Do not use headphones or earbuds when it's unsafe to do so - while operating a vehicle, crossing streets, or during any activity or in an environment where your full attention to your surroundings is required. It's dangerous to drive while wearing headphones or earbuds, and in many places, illegal because it decreases your chances of hearing life-saving sounds outside of your vehicle, such as another car's horn and emergency vehicle sirens. Please avoid wearing your headphones while driving. Use one of Monster's FM transmitters to listen to your mobile media devices instead.
