SACD & DVD-Audio Connection Guide

The biggest advance in Audio quality since the CD comes SACD and DVD-Audio discs -- only if you make the right connections.

The Super Audio CD (SACD) and DVD Audio (DVD-A) formats are capable of miraculous audio resolution in both stereo and surround sound. But you'll only hear these best-of-the-best audio formats the way they were meant to be heard when you make the right connection.

• The signals from these high-resolution formats are passed through a multi-channel analog connection to an AV receiver. There's a separate cable for the left, right and center channels, as well as left and right surround, and a subwoofer.

• Currently, this connection method is the only way to enjoy SACD or DVD-A in full fidelity playback.

• DVD-Audio players also play video content that has been included on the DVD-Audio discs. To get the most out of the video playback, you'll want to use either an HDMI or a Component Video connection from the player to your A/V receiver.

• In addition to the high-resolution audio from DVD-Audio discs, players can also reproduce Dolby Digital® and DTS® surround sound formats for movies. Use a Fiber Optic or Digital Coax audio connection from the player to your A/V receiver.
