The Soldier Thread is an indie-pop quintet hailing from Austin, Texas. Patched together in late 2007, the ensemble has already undergone sweeping adjustments in style. Todd Abels (guitar, keyboard, backup vocals) and Justin McHugh (keyboard, guitar, backup vocals) set out from ambient origins to weave in the missing pieces. Close ties to Patricia Lynn (lead vocals, viola, keyboard) and Drew Vandiver (drums) allowed for an easy joining of loose ends. With Chance Gilmore (bass guitar) eventually completing the chain, the group began to play shows in and around Austin, and throughout Texas. The release of In Spades in 2010 marked a shift from true indie sound to a more polished, pop-driven style. After a successful tour in the summer of 2011, TST had breached their way in to various radio stations. With the release of ‘The Bull EP’, The Soldier Thread played a sold out show at Stubbs. The EP was highlighted on iTunes under their ‘New and Noteworthy’ section.
"To me, the two most important things in a guitar cables are sound quality and durability. Monster cables deliver both. I've been using the same Monster Rock Instrument Cable to plug in my guitar for over five years and hundreds of gigs. It still sounds the same as the day I bought it. On the road, a piece of equipment that reliable is invaluable to me."
