    How Do You Improve Perfection?

Hot on the heels of the most successful power products launch in the history of home theater, Noel Lee, Head Monster, announces the ultimate refinement in power conditioning.

A Bold New Look for Performance Power!

New True Blue LED readouts offer a bold new look to Signature Power. The Signature power products are way over the top, says the Head Monster.

"The Signature AVS 2000 Automatic Voltage Stabilizer uses a Monsterous microprocessor control variable transformer that delivers full power to your home theatre despite power fluctuations and surges. It adds a new look to our most highly reviewed power product."

Plus we use new heavy duty triple shielded Powerline 400 power cable and ultra sophisticated power protection that automatically resets for trouble free use.

Signed Personally by the Head Monster, the Signature Series is Noel Lee's own personal statement on the superior look and performance of the Monster Power.

The AVS2000 Is Designed to Stabilize Power Line Fluctuations and Maintain Constant Voltage to Your Home Theater.

Voltage sags (below the standard RMS value of 120 volts) are often caused by power-hungry appliances like washing machines, air conditioners, and electric heaters, which draw more power (over 1500 watts) than your house was designed to support.

This can have a direct effect on home theater components, including amplifiers and two piece projection systems, which require a lot of power to operate at an optimum performance level. As a result, the picture can lose brightness and suddenly shrink in size. Amplifiers change gain structure which results in nasty distortions. They also won't deliver peak power, dropping from 100 watts to as low as 60 watts, for example.

Your home theater is very power hungry, too, often drawing twice as much power as a washer and air conditioner combined. This can cause even more voltage sags and ultimately, inferior home theatre performance.

With AVS2000, all your high power devices will maintain the stability needed to deliver peak power and performance. You'll enjoy the smoothest, most natural sound and the sharpest, brightest picture possible with vivid color. And, thanks to AVS2000's sequential turn-on feature, your high power loads can operate at peak performance without causing unnecessary electrical stress that can often pop a circuit breaker or damage your components.

          A motor-regulated variac

Comments about Monster Signature Series™ Home Theater Automatic Voltage Stabilizer AVS 2000:

I live in an area where the voltage fluctuates something like +/- 10V, usually it does so relatively slowly. For my tube amp I need voltage more constant than that in order to properly set the working regimes of the tubes. Clearly, I did not want to introduce any high-frequency noise into the power (which would result from using things like UPS). So, I felt that a high-current automatic motor-operated variac (i.e., a variable transformer) was needed. Then I discovered that this company made one (and sold under very obscure description, I must say).

I bought it used, in very good condition (the price I paid was probably not too far from what it was really worth). It solved my problem, and has been performing exactly as expected since then.

I personally altered the schematics a bit, basically dropping everything but the voltage regulator (if I remember correctly, the automatic module that operates the motor and the motor itself are still under surge protection, but not the variac). It took me about 10 minutes to accomplish: the design is very modular and convenient. Of course, you don't have to do that, I just wanted everything to be as "transparent" as possible (to avoid any current limiting).

My advice is very simple: buy it, if you need an automated motor-regulated variac.

I use this in my computer room for my sensitive computer equipment and have one for my theater as well. During summer brown outs, my computer battery backups do not get enough voltage to charge, and the system eventually would shut down when the batteries were drained. Enter the AVS-2000. Problem solved. It would fix the brownout issue and deliver thee needed 120 volst to my UPS systems. Beautiful!!!

This unit was purchased from a high end audio store and placed in line with the Monster HTPS 7000 MK II surge protection unit. This unit supplies reliable power within 1/2 volt and has saved my theater equipment several times. I can not give it higher praise. I believe that any one who buys this piece will be very satisfied. Thanks Monster.

Comments about Monster Signature Series™ Home Theater Automatic Voltage Stabilizer AVS 2000:

I have had my AVS 2000 paired with my HTPS 7000 for many years now. Let me tell you, there is an audible difference from when I run my gear directly from the wall electricity. The sound from the "wall" power is muddy and packs no dynamic punch.

There are quite a few pieces that connect to my power management system that I would not want to replace. When the AVS 2000 compensates for the low voltage, or quickly suppresses a spike, you can hear something massive inside working to provide 120 Volts to ALL my gear. This sound is only apparent when the volume is off. With how unstable electricity is, this is the best insurance for the integrity of your A V system!
