"On Radiohead's "In Rainbows" CD, the Copper unleashed more of the drums' punch and impact than I've ever heard from in-ear headphones that sell for less than $1,000. Bass goes nice and deep, with spectacular definition."

"If you want to hear the most accurate sound, get the Copper."

    -Steve Guttenberg, CNET: The Audiophilliac

"You can hear everything and it seems like its in the right context… its not hyped this way or hyped that way. It seems to have body, where a lot of headphones, you're just happy to hear anything."
    Rick Lawson, Producer

"I got the coolest bass and fullness and oh my gosh! It was amazing!"

"I've been using speakers of course, and I don't use headphones at all, and times that I've traveled I've thought, 'Oh my gosh, if I could only have some great headphones, it would be terrific,' and here they are."

    Michael Lloyd, Producer

"Nowadays, man, we mix for the headphones and the car, because that's where people listen to music now. What's important is making sure it sounds good in the cans, in the headphones and it sounds good in the car. So, with these Monster earphones it's perfect, because it sounds like having studio speakers in your ears. It's very cool man and I'm really excited to just be able to be at the airport and to just shut the world off and listen to what I'm working on. It's very cool."
Marcus Miller, Producer (Miles Davis, Luther Vandross, George Benson)

How do you clean the eartips?
Asked on 11/20/2012 by Monster Customer

      1 answer

      • CUSTOMER CARE

        A:

        * IMPORTANT: DO NOT attempt to clean the eartips without first removing them from your headphones. Getting the delicate circuitry inside your headphones wet may cause permanent damage.

        1. Firmly grip the eartip with one hand and the earphone with the other. Carefully remove the eartip from the eartube.
        2. Use warm water and mild soap on a damp cloth to remove dirt and earwax from the eartip. DO NOT use harsh cleaning agents.
        3. Rinse and completely dry your eartips before placing them back on your headphones.
        4. Carefully push the eartips back onto your headphones, making sure they are on the eartube completely.

Important Monster® Performance and Safety Tips
    Listen Responsibly

To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume on your music player is turned down before connecting your headphones. After placing headphones in your ears, gradually turn up the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB), exposure to any noise at or above 85 dB can cause gradual hearing loss.

Monitor your use; hearing loss is a function of loudness versus time. The louder it is, the less time you can be exposed to it. The softer it is, the more time you can listen to it. Refer to the chart* below.

This decibel (dB) table compares some common sounds and shows how they rank in potential harm to hearing.
    SoundNoise Level (dB)Effect
    Whisper30Very quiet
Quiet Office50-60Comfortable hearing levels are under 60 dB
Vacuum Cleaner, Hair Dryer70Intrusive; interferes with telephone conversations
Food Blender85-9085 dB is the level at which hearing damage (8 hrs.) begins
Garbage Truck, Cement Mixer100No more than 15 minutes of unprotected exposure recommended for sounds between 90-100 dB
Power Saw, Drill/Jackhammer110Regular exposure to sound over 100 dB of more than 1 minute risks permanent hearing loss
Rock Concerts (varies)110-140Threshold of pain begins around 125dB
"....a typical person can safely listen to an iPod for 4.6 hours per day at 70% volume."
"....knowing the levels one is listening to music at, and for how long is extremely important."
    From http://www.cbc.ca/health/story/2006/10/19/music-earphones.html
Get the most out of your equipment and enjoy great audio performance even at safe levels.
Our headphones will allow you to hear more details at lower volume levels than ever before.

    Use Responsibly

Do not use headphones when it's unsafe to do so - while operating a vehicle, crossing streets, or during any activity or in an environment where your full attention to your surroundings is required.

It's dangerous to drive while wearing headphones, and in many places, illegal because it decreases your chances of hearing life-saving sounds outside of your vehicle, such as another car's horn and emergency vehicle sirens.

Please avoid wearing your headphones while driving. Use one of Monster's FM transmitters to listen to your mobile media devices instead.

      Comments about Monster® Turbine™ Pro Copper Professional In-Ear Speakers™:

I own a pair of Grado SR80i headphones that I have used at home for the past few years. They are incredible sounding, and of very high quality. So, I would not buy IEMs without a quality of sound that was almost as good as my Grados. I took a gamble on the Pro Coppers, and WOW! They are actually much, much better than my Grados, and I didn't think that was going to be possible. Well done, Monster.

      Comments about Monster® Turbine™ Pro Copper Professional In-Ear Speakers™:

After finding the best supertip for me, the sound was very good BUT only worked with my ipod and iPhone. When I connected it to an extension cord from the audio system in my room, the sound volume and quality was diminished and sounded quite horrible. But if I connected it directly into the amplifier, the sound was spot on. But then who is going to stand a couple of feet from their sound system? So I am not so satisfied with this product because of this limitation. I love Monster products but not so much with this one.

These in-ear speakers offer amazing sound, especially with mids and highs. Decent bass performance is very much possible but subject to achieving correct fit which is challenging. When I'm able to achieve the right fit, I am truly impressed by their performance. And I love rediscovering all my music with these, ranging from jazz, R&B, funk, soul, pop... Life is definitely too short to listen to bad headphones!

          Comments about Monster® Turbine™ Pro Copper Professional In-Ear Speakers™:

I have been reading all the past comments about this product for about almost a year, but I didn't buy it back then because the price is too much for me to afford it so I wait and wait. Finally, the price has drop and I brought it around 150 with coupons. Before buying this, I used cheap headphones and had replaced so many times because they broke. Now it is arrive and I tried it all day. I like the supertips foam one to be the best isolate from noise and supertips gel is the best for clearance but not isolation. The bass is okay but not that good. The quality of earphone is the best. Listen music with this earphones is the greatest, I can hear all the detail about the song and don't feel tired plug-in all day long. This is definitely the best earphones in the market, I would recommend to everyone who love listen music.
