        A:

ControlTalk is designed specifically for iPods, iPads and iPhones (3GS & newer). The remote and mic are supported only by iPod nano (4th generation & newer), iPod classic (120GB, 160GB only) and iPod touch (2nd generation & newer). The remote is supported by iPod shuffle (3rd generation & newer). Audio is supported by all iPod models. Requires latest iPod software.

ControlTalk Universal is designed for greater compatibility with mobile devices and smartphones. As long as the 3.5mm input of your device supports a three-conductor connector, the remote and/or mic is supported. If you are not sure your device supports a three-conductor connection, please verify with the device's manufacturer.

Audio listening is supported by all devices that have a 3.5mm input.

Important Monster® Performance and Safety Tips
    Listen Responsibly

To avoid hearing damage, make sure that the volume on your music player is turned down before connecting your headphones. After placing headphones in your ears, gradually turn up the volume until you reach a comfortable listening level.

Noise levels are measured in decibels (dB), exposure to any noise at or above 85 dB can cause gradual hearing loss.

Monitor your use; hearing loss is a function of loudness versus time. The louder it is, the less time you can be exposed to it. The softer it is, the more time you can listen to it. Refer to the chart* below.

This decibel (dB) table compares some common sounds and shows how they rank in potential harm to hearing.
    SoundNoise Level (dB)Effect
    Whisper30Very quiet
Quiet Office50-60Comfortable hearing levels are under 60 dB
Vacuum Cleaner, Hair Dryer70Intrusive; interferes with telephone conversations
Food Blender85-9085 dB is the level at which hearing damage (8 hrs.) begins
Garbage Truck, Cement Mixer100No more than 15 minutes of unprotected exposure recommended for sounds between 90-100 dB
Power Saw, Drill/Jackhammer110Regular exposure to sound over 100 dB of more than 1 minute risks permanent hearing loss
Rock Concerts (varies)110-140Threshold of pain begins around 125dB
"....a typical person can safely listen to an iPod for 4.6 hours per day at 70% volume."
"....knowing the levels one is listening to music at, and for how long is extremely important."

Get the most out of your equipment and enjoy great audio performance even at safe levels.
Our headphones will allow you to hear more details at lower volume levels than ever before.

    Use Responsibly

Do not use headphones when it's unsafe to do so - while operating a vehicle, crossing streets, or during any activity or in an environment where your full attention to your surroundings is required.

It's dangerous to drive while wearing headphones, and in many places, illegal because it decreases your chances of hearing life-saving sounds outside of your vehicle, such as another car's horn and emergency vehicle sirens.

Please avoid wearing your headphones while driving. Use one of Monster's FM transmitters to listen to your mobile media devices instead.

Learn how to establish a safe listening level and review other important safety guidelines from the Consumer Electronics Association at www.ce.org and the Deafness Research Foundation at www.drf.org.

MP3's sound very good with these Inspiration's and come alive as an AUDIOPHILE's Benchmark of quality sound when listening to AIFF's, ALAC's, FLAC's, and WAV's in 96kHz/24bit, etc...with crystal clear highs, balanced tight bass, and complimentary midrange.

Comments about Monster® Inspiration Noise Isolating Over-Ear Headphones - Multilingual:

I own a lot of high end headphones, Beats Studio, Audio Technica 50, and the Bose quiet comfort, these are by far the best looking and best sounding headphones that I own. Great deep bass that's doesn't over power the highs and mids. Crystal clear sound. I love them, Im actually happy that Monster is no longer affiliated with Beats, these headphones look so much more classier than those plastic cheap Beats.

Comments about Monster® Inspiration Noise Isolating Over-Ear Headphones - Multilingual:

I use these headphones for everything from music on my IPhone5 to movies on my laptop and everything in between. These headphones are overall great, they provide crisp and clear full spectrum audio and drowning out all outside noise at the same time and even after hours of continuous use they are still comfortable. I only have one problem with these headphones... the cables. Although they are very high quality and stylish at the same time I have 2 issues with them. 1st is the Mini Angle side of the cable, they don't fit into an IPhone5 if you are using an Otter Box Defender series and I have to flip the cable around to get them to work. 2nd is length, 4 feet is just too short for me and I would like a longer cable.
