Comments about Monster Coax 200fcx High Performance F-Pin Cable:

This was several years ago- but just before switching from analog cable to satellite, I tried to improve the picture quality by swapping out the coax cable. I got rid of the cheap RG59 coax cable going from the wall to TV and made my own RG6U quad coax cable with compression ends. The picture was very good. Ghosting was gone. I was very happy. Then I thought, "If my DIY can be this good, I wonder what a Monster cable could do!" I bought 3 F-pin cables for myself, 2 for my dad and 2 for my brothers. Finally got a chance to test out the Monster F-pin cable... it was bad. The picture quality worse than with the original cheap RG59 coax cable. The F-pin Monster cable is probably the only Monster cable I would never recommend. I can safely say that my homemade RG6U quad coax cable terminated w/ compression ends is a better quality cable and yields at least the same picture, if not better picture than the Monster F-pin.

Comments about Monster Coax 200fcx High Performance F-Pin Cable:

I've been having issues with the coax my cable company connected from my cable outlet to the hd cable box. Actually, it's running through a splitter, then to the hd box. Among the issues: the coax is very long and stiff, quite awkward to connect to the box without some cramping. Also it seemed the picture wasn't quite as good as it could be and it's not that easy to tighten.

Then it dawned on me, why not replace it with a Monster coax? I've had great experiences with Monster before. I've seen the proof of Monster quality with my own two eyes. Even if there were no improvement in picture quality, I knew the new cable would be durable, flexible and much easier to tighten.

Low and behold, the picture was instantly improved. A sharper overall picture with less video noise and pixelation. Even the tiling I've come to expect during brightly lit moments in a movie (like during explosions, etc) are DRAMATICALLY decreased. In fact, barely noticeable so far, which is a pleasant surprise.

Once again Monster does it. I've defended Monster cable numerous times on certain home theater forums and numerous times had critics practically attack me in response. They believe Monster is a high priced scam. Sure, Monster can be pricey, but it ain't no scam. These cables are the best.

Comments about Monster Coax 200fcx High Performance F-Pin Cable:

Okay, I'm in marketing and I've always viewed the Monster product is to any ordinary "good" cable out there as a Lexus ES300 is to a Toyota Camry ...aside from the fancy frills, neat connectors and fanatic overpricing, at the core level it's exactly the same.

I had a "good" quality "quad shield" 12' cable with gold plated ends connected to my Internet cable modem (DOCSIS 3.0 -you know which modem it is...the good one) and was very pleased with the signal readings over the past few months (after upgrading from 'ordinary' RG59, then to RG6) and was shocked at each signal improvement that just a few feet of coax could make. Things were working perfect and modem shows excellent numbers.

Today I re-located my equipment and wanted a 3' cable. The Monster was the only "quality" 3' cable available in the store and I was very skeptical about the package claims and multiple times the price of others. I've learned enough to know that pure copper is not only best over alloys, even many "higher end" cables use steel alloys or steel braided shields -as was the case with my "quad shield" with a clear exterior. I can see the steel braid.

After hooking everything up I checked the cable modem readings. Expecting no change but curious, I took a few readings, shut everything down and swapped in my old 12' coax cable and took some readings. Then, re-connected again with the Monster 3' coax cable and took some readings again, just to see.

With the Monster cable my downstream power levels (2 bonded channels) increased by 1dBmV and my s/n ratio increased by 1 dB for every reading, consistently.

Granted, this is nothing spectacular and I'm still getting equally "perfect" numbers either way and my Internet doesn't run any different. However, it is a testament to me of 2 things...
1.) Yes, there IS a big difference in coax cables from one to the next, even among same brands and even in short distances (less than 15 feet). It makes a difference-always buy the best you can afford.
2.) Monster is the best quality coax cable I've tried so far.

Wire is wire and copper is copper, and it may not necessarily be that the Monster brand is "better" so much as all the other brands are just that much worse.

Thank you for a great product and delivering on your claims.
                ~ Mike
